The Town of Shelburne is pleased to share the final Environmental Assessment Report prepared by Dillon Consulting Limited regarding the closed first-generation landfill located at Morvan Road.
The report summarizes environmental investigations completed between July 2025 and Spring 2026, including soil sampling, groundwater monitoring, surface water testing, and a voluntary residential well sampling program. The purpose of this work was to better understand environmental conditions at and around the former landfill site and to provide recommendations for future monitoring and management.
Recognizing the importance of this matter to residents, particularly members of the South End community, the Town is committed to making technical information available in a transparent and accessible manner. To assist with understanding the findings, Dillon Consulting has also prepared an Executive Summary that presents the results in plain language.
Residents are encouraged to review both the Executive Summary and the Full Report. The Town will continue to share information regarding future monitoring activities and next steps as they become available.
